I had never been as health-conscious all my life until something weird happened to me one early morning. I almost lost consciousness while I was in the comfort room at about 1:30 in the morning due to stomachache.

The next morning, I found out that my blood sugar level went abnormally high for me. No, don’t get me wrong. I was never diagnosed yet to be diabetic. It was a new discovery for me that my blood sugar went pfft.

Then it dawned on me. Am I already diabetic? 

I had to have my HbA1c be done. The result showed 6.7. Limit to the normal level is 6. I showed it to a specialist. Reaction: Go on diet!

I would not want myself to be enslaved by maintenance drugs. So I searched for natural approaches. I became more aware of my carbo intake. Even meat has become a no-no for me. I was just conditioning myself, they are poisons for me. 

I now appreciate diet discipline and herbs. I got interested with insulin plant, guyabano leaves, serpentina, guava leaves, and frozen lemon. I also got interested with ketogenic diet where the body would learn to make use of stored fats for fuel. 

Then I felt bodily changes. My tummy is beginning to trim down. No more headaches and sluggish feeling. 

One doctor posited that to reverse a diabetic type 2 condition is not to control only the symptoms or manifestations. He said, diabetes type 2 is a diet-caused condition. Therefore, the best way to reverse it is to control the source of high blood sugar: the food intake. Disciplined diet is the key.

For now, I wish to follow a disciplined regimen for diabetes reversal. Many will shrug shoulders off because the norm for diabetes is progressive. I might just be the exception, if I will succeed.
